so there’s this boston band, right, called GIRLFRIENDS, and i got into them last summer and then i moved to boston but i never got to see them which is a total bummer but this is all kind of irrelevant becauseeee one of the random-ass downloaded songs that i had of theirs was ‘The Day I Was A Horse‘(mp3) and i NEVER KNEW IT WAS A COVER UNTIL THIS VERY MOMENT.
okay regardless, the cover is really great and fun and at one point the lady-vocalist forgets a line or something and so just laughs and i love that kind of one-take fuck all approach and it captures genuine joy and it’s really good and so is the original song in general.
